Hey guys, just curious if there's any possible way for you to get the evo 7 boot lid and rear quarters/lights on a CE2 (2001)? because they were made around the same time and appear as though they would fit. Is there any other bootlid which would fit it that would look similar to it?

put simply no...
if you had amazingly deep pockets then yes

there was a link posted a little while back of someone who got a written off evo 7 (think it was a 7) and with the parts he did a front end conversion, rear end conversion, engine conversion, awd conversion, interior conversion.... all onto a ce coupe
not sure why he didnt just fix the evo

i think the total price on that build was well over 80k
but for the price and effort you would need to do that, you'd be better off saving the money, selling your coupe and having a hell of a deposit for a loan on a real evo (that ones just my personal opinion tho)

if it was a cg or ch i would say yeah it would be posible with some modding. (they share the same base frame)
but ce are different shape to the evo 7.

spend your money on a real evo 7 they are getting cheaper

Careful grounds, I'm saying no the CG/CH on the simple fact they have different chassis codes and the chassis is wider, so you may/maynot have the mounting points for panels or you do and they're too far in! That being said, if you want the E7 rear end stay with the CG's rear end if you have one since they look just as decent de-badge as the E7's! Hence why I want to do a CG rear end conversion on my CH!

i didn't think the evo 7 frame was any wider then the cg just the guards were flared to fit lights, bonnet and so on.
but it probly does make sense being they can fit the wider tyres that won't fit on a cg/ch.

Ill tell you no from first hand knowledge on a cg lol. Evo has wider rear bar and flares. Have a look at the tail lights differences too. The bootlid looks like it should fit - never tried though so can't say with any certainty. But certainly isn't going to fit on a ce without big fabrication work.

That said, anyone want to buy a genuine evo rear bar and try to prove me wrong? $100 and its yours :D

cheers guys, just curious was all :p - love the evo 7 bootlid. Nah BI65, think i'll pass on that mate ;)
