Evo 456 steering wheel retrofit

Hey fellas

I'm getting my evo 4 wheel refurburbished with new leather and red stitching which is going to cost more than I paid for the wheel itself. So I need some more info before I make this investment (the wheel has an airbag as does my ce)

Please could someone advise me of how to fit this on especially if you have done this before (Henry!)

IIRC the clockspring has an issue as does the horn or something. Can a fully functional transplant take place?

yes
if your wheel has airbag then it has the clockspring unit for the airbag wiring and horn wiring harness
if your standard airbag wheel has a different clockspring assembly then you need the evo one.
since your car had airbag previous then i understand that you dont have the contact pin and spring on the combination stalk centre assembly.

Ive used evo indicator and wiper stalks (wiper has adjustable intermittent speed) on my Mirage
However ive removed the lancer evo centre combination assebly for a Mirage one.
This way I have the contact pin and spring.
I did this because I already had a non airbag boss kit.
If you swap like this expect to make wiring changes because on a non airbag car the wiring is in the main connector and on airbag car there is a seperate wire.
Of course it may be different due to the mass variation of Lancer Mirage Evos.

So because I have an airbag from factory it should all be plug and play (I have never messed around with steering wheels before so most of this is greek to me)

So the clockspring is within the wheel itself?
