Just wondering if one of our awesome members here might be able to do a small favour for me, cause your awesome ;)

So I bought what was advertised as a EVO 4, 5 or 6 foglight switch.
I naturally assumed that the EVO one would be the same as a MR switch.
It fits the same hole in the dash, looked the same, with exception of the little diagram light beam angle on the button.
As you can see from the pics below, the back is much longer and has a different rear plug.

So if someone has a spare 10-15mins could you please take your switch out, take a pic and show me what it looks like.

I will be forever grateful :why: :why: :why:

I think I may have figured it out, but It will need to be clarified.

I think the switch is a rear fog light switch, cant say I've ever seen an EVO with a rear one.
Nor can I find much refernce to one for a EVO 4, 5 or 6.

Another pic, the mystery EVO switch on the left, MR switch on the right.

Adding a +1 to a rear foglight icon. I think that pic shows the evo switch upside down though :p

The rear loom plug is different though, judging from those pics?

The evo one is a rear fog switch man, the angle down puc means front, the angle straight means rear

FWIW, there was a model, 4 or TME (UK perhaps or maybe ADM TMEs) that had actual globes in the garnishes that were 'rear fogs'. Unsure if they activated on the same switch as front fog lights, or if they had a second switch.

Unforunately mine is at the workshop so can't easily check for you.

just to confuse:

thats for UK tho who put that other rear fog in the rear bumper

yerp, the evo 4 ones are the ones with rear foglights, instead of the evo 5 reflectors that every1 has, it would be a straight red one with a globe that u can place inside.. have a look at TR3N7's post.. he has them on his car, just havent been hooked up

Ok, we'll I guess I'm sort of happy I didn't pay too much for it.
Maybe a I can flog it off on eBay and recoupe some of what it owes me.
I'd probably lose too much sending it back to the UK.

I was in fact about to put it on eBay later this week.
PM me if you'd like it

Has this item sold? is it for the rectangular rear fog light switch or the boot garnishes that illuminate?

Either way. very hard to come by switch!

Where does the rear one plug into btw?

yes its in my hands Derku! i havnt installed it and probably wont for years to come! i also have rear fog light garnishes and a full wiring harness

I bought mine with 11 owners and 69k miles just recently. Its an Evo. Have a look in the classifieds at how quickly people buy them & then sell them - not really any surprise at all that theyve all had so many owners. People buy them, get bored, move on to something else, come back, see something else they want, etc. normally all in the space of a year

Mine were hooked up to my brake tail lights as it usually doesnt get foggy enough around here to use them and i didnt have a rear switch nor can i find any pictures of where its meant to mount.

The switch for the rear foglights is in the same position as the existing fog light button, except in this case the centre is neutral, up is front foglights and down is front and rear.
As opposed to only have a centre and up position.

11 owners in Australia or confirmed total in its life?
Not sure I agree with your statements. Maybe a generalisation.
I know a few long-termers.
Sold my recently after being first owner in Aus in 2007.
