Crackling sound coming through stereo?

ok this only happens when i play my ipod. Theres a crackling sound coming through my speakers when i play my music. i changed it to fm radio and it stopped.Switched back to ipod and it started again.

Kinda sounds like an interferance..static...any suggestions?

Are you playing it through AUX or usb?
If its AUX try a new cable.

Are you using an amp? are you RCA cables running along side your power cable?
