Cheers Henry, I was pretty sure the spring rates could be changed on both of them but figured it was best left for you to answer that!
I think you did 7/5kg spring rates on my CJ IIRC, with the dampening on its softest I actually find it less harsh than King Springs and the car handles mid-corner bumps alot better than it did with King Springs. Although personally I find it a tad too floaty for my liking so I'd sit at around 1/3 of full dampening around town and then upto around 2/3 dampening on a spirited run all depending on what the road surface is like. Generally full dampening is too stiff for some of the crappy road surfaces that I like to drive along...
But as I said before forget the VA-V1s and just get the BRs, if the pillow balls go and you start getting coil bind then by the time you buy replacements like I've had to, it has cost you the same as if you just got the dearer BRs to begin with.
