hey guys got a good question for ya. as stated having cluster issues whats going on is i did the tacho cluster conversion on my 2003 mirage now at whats going on is none of the guages are working yet i got all the idiot lights working and just to try and see if it was any of the chassi wiring i pluged my standard one back in and worked fine, have checked the screws on the back they are fine and tight fuses are fine, solders appear to be fine, plugged it back in after a few days and it all come back online for all of a few mins then died again any suggestions? at my wits end with it as none of it makes any sence
 
Check my cluster repair in the diy section. I fix them all the time. A track gets a hairline crack in it and the cluster gauges drop out. Very easy fix.

oh just as another interesting point just put it in a mates mirage worked fine bar the tacho coz he doesnt have the tacho line upto his dash also i just applied alot of pressure to the sides of the cluster beside the tacho and fuel and heat guage cluster all come online released pressure stayed online turned the car off and again not working again
 
found it was a bloody micro fracture. went over a second time with multi meter and a magnifying glass and found the little bugger funny enuff almost in the same spot as shown in the repair guide cheers for the help guys, thats one thing i didnt learn while working for mitsis, guess they just replaced clusters instead of fixing them to make more dosh
 
Thats the one man :) same spot everytime without fail. Tiniest little fracture causes that lol
 
lol oh well fixed now :) amazing how i can know so much about these cars yet not know these tiny little fixes, just when i thought i knew the mirage bumper to bumper too lol i dont mind tho the more i know about this car the better :)
