Hi guys, today I was in the process of installing a map lamp for the front so I got the roof lining off (pain in the ass) and cut a hole to fit the lamp...anyway I needed to bridge the front map lamp wiring with the centre one for power it up.
I used a test meter to confirm which wire was positive and negative and then tested it before soldering. It worked, so I went on to solder it. After soldering, it didn't work and the dimmer function of the existing centre lamp didn't work.
Now I am stumped as to why the dimmer function has failed and how to fix it. I was told my Jeffaz that there is a special relay for fade in/out when doors shut etc. But where?
Any CH owners experienced this before or more importantly do you guys know any possible solutions??
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
