CE1 => CE2 sedan front end

hey all, i wanna change the front end on my sisters lancer which has the old style front like this

to the CE2 front end like this

i think i only need the bonnet, bonnet catch, bumper, grille and headlights. will it all just bolt in?

I would almost definately say yes, that youlw just bolt right in, considering the cars are the same width and length and body panels are in the same place.

yeh ce1 is much nicer
+ u can fit genuine e4 bonnets which look way better than the e5-6-6.5 bonnets

i can see where ur all coming from the old CE front does look heaps better in the photos but its too late i went to the wreckers at lunch time and got most of the parts.

i'll be getting rid of the old parts very soon after there all installed but MOR31 i'm in vic i don't know where u r?

i had a day off today so i started with a CE1 Lancer sedan

then i pulled it to bits

all back together with CE2 parts

i don't think it turned out too badly but i will need new indicators as the CE1 ones don't seem to fit properly. all in all pretty happy with the way it turned out its almost as if its a different car!

i'd be after what indicators would cost for the headlights and grille but i think postage to qld will kill it tho

there are very cheap places to freight such as e-go
do depto to depot and it works out really cheap

for 4 wheels its ~$60-70... so headlights and indicators would be like $13 to post :lol:

yeah or anyone else who needs sedan parts i've got the bonnet and bumper as well plus a CE2 kinked boot lid

If you can find out postage and let me know all costs for lights and grill we can work it out

for anyone else doing the conversion u will need CE2 indicators as well, CE1 are different, the shape is the same but the tab which bolts onto the headlights doesn't line up.

sorry MOR31 'ive been hella busy and didn't get a chance to find postage but it will be a bit cause its gonna be a big box.
