CE Sedan and Coupe side mirrors?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know whether the sedan and coupe side mirrors are identical?
I assume the base is different as it seems the coupe has a higher gradient slant to the windscreen.
 
hey buddy the bases are different shape but they do fit the bolts line up... I used a sedan mirror on a Mirage... fitted and worked .... I really don't think that you could tell that there was a different mirror
 
Are there gaps or anything like that between the base and the door though?

Aftermarket bases i have for sedan don't fit my coupe not without a lot of cutting anyway.
 
it fits ok but it is not a smooth flush finish... depends on how fussy you are I supose.... I am pretty fussy myself so I would only have it in till I managed to find the exact part... the top part of the base on the sedan is squared off a little were as the coupe is amore triangular shape...
so are you chasing a certain type of mirror ?
 
I was mostly curious about the standard electronically folding mirrors. I know Evos got them, not sure if any Coupes got them?
 
I think they did but not the aussie verssion ... down side is I have a set of evo mirrors that will fit perfectly but the wire loom for the mirrors on the CH mivec is only 3 wires were as the evo ones have 5 wires running for it - not knowing were those wires go to or even if it will work if I spliced wires and made a new loom etc... I may still yet need a relay of some kind...

so I would imagine it would be the same for the coupe ones etc
 
Actually I have the loom from the FTO and my mirror controls inside the car have the folding button already which is what gave me the idea in the first place
