CC Lancer wagon slight misfire

Lately my wifes wagon is idling rough when sitting at the lights, Its automatic and when i put it in neutral it idles high and has a slight misfire
After a drive on the highway it runs perfect but when its just quick local trips it starts to do this again
I was thinking it could be valve stem seals but any other opinions will be appreciated

They were both replaced about 8 months ago
But if they were the issue, Wouldn't it be a constant misfire? or would the plugs be fouling up when doing short trips?

check the gaps in the distributor. then pull you plugs and look at the tips
white = lean
coffee = good
black = rich

I replaced dizzy cap and rotor at the same time as leads and plugs
Will check plugs tonight and check the gap on the plugs also

Have u washed the engine bay lately?

Sounds like a ignition problem to me, points or plugs

Surprisingly iv never washed the engine as it stays pretty clean
Well the dizzy cap, rotor button, leads and plugs were done about 8 months ago

The dizzy cap, rotor button, leads and plugs are the obvious things.
If it's definately not any of those then it could be the valve seats. Do a compression leak down test.

Or as you said, the valve seals could be leaking oil past and fouling the plugs but I doubt that.

The high idle suggests a vacuum leak and that can cause a misfire too.

The plugs were mainly white so it looks to be running lean
Will check for any vacuum leaks tonight
What do i need to do a leak down test?
