hey guys, just wondering "hypothetically".. if a lancer was turboed.. is it possible to have a boost controller where one option can be 0 boost (runs like a n/a) and the 2nd option to have turbo?

u can have boost controllers that can have two levels of boost set.
the eboost 2 even lets u have a different level of boost in each gear.

however i dont know if any will let u select an amount as low as 0.

it would run like absolute *poo* i'd imagine.

What's the point of having a non-boosted turbo lancer? If you're hoping that will make it legal for P plates I think you're clutching at straws. If it's for economy just drive it off boost.

no you cannot.
You must run minimum wastegate actuator pressure.
eg. if the actuator is 6psi then you must run at least 6psi.
then to increase the boost on top of this you need a boost controller.
MBC or EBC respectively.

Ive built turbo 1.5s and 1.8s from the bottom up.
the 4g15s can get 500km a tank with occasionally heavy foot but otherwise normally driving.
4g93 have got best 450kms
These cars ran 10-12psi boost.

All in the tune.
