abs warning.

Hi all. New to the page.

I have a standard 2007 lancer sedan and the abs warning light is on along with the written warning inbetween the speedo and rpm.
It went to auto masters for a service and they cleared the code and said they detected a low voltage in the abs systems motor/pump.

Since then the light has come back on. Sometimes when i start the car the warning is no longer there but may pop up half way through the drive or not at all. And sometimes its on from the start for the whole drive but sometimes goes away during the drive.

They said it would cost a fair bit to replace but would not give me a quote.

Any advice or help you guys might have would be much appreciated.

Ask them how much it is to replace.
Ask your local Mitsubishi on why its playing up and how much to replace.

In almost 99% of all abs fault cases its never the pump, but rather the module with the issue,

In your case if its saying low voltage in abs system,
Id be very cautious as to changing the module without further diagnosis,

that code is somewhat broad, and can even be given when i battery has gone flat or your alternator has stopped charging,
If your alternator has stopped charging and your battery goes below a certain voltage your abs system shutsdown,
But if you havnt had battery issues id say this isnt your problem,
Another problem could be the supply to the module, is a plug semi loose? A fuse not in properly? Or even blown?
Has anyone checked anything apart from scanning it? If not take it to someone who will spend the appropriate time diagnosing it so you dont lose out money

had a similar issue with this on my evo a few weeks back, also had a few other lights pop for me to ( SRS, low brake fluid) Turn out that the alternator charging system wasn't working properly. have a look at your positive battery terminal if its like most post 05 cars it should have mini fuses inside the terminal that connects to the battery. I had one of these blown, hence the alt wasn't charging. once i fixed this all lights went a way and no probs since. They can blow real easy if you try to jump start your car.

I work at mitsu..

Common for the abs pump modulators to *fudge* out in cj's..
Light on dash can also be caused by faulty wheel speed sensors, go get it scanned again and quote up a abs pump, warning they arent cheap though

already stated what was retrieved from a scan.

if your any good, you'll know that no matter how common an issue is theres always the possibility of it being another issue.

there could be thousands of possibilities as to why an abs light would come on.
