How many cats are there in a 2.4 es lancer? Is it just 2, 1 in the headers and 1 above the crossmember? I've already gutted the cat in the exhaust manifold thanks

Nah you don’t, the ecu has a certain amount of adjustability to it. On a stock ecu it’ll throw a check engine light for the rear o2 sensor but it’s not going to affect anything.

I got alvin at off the clock motorsports to disable that o2 sensor so it won’t throw a CEL
