hi guys im new to the lancer scene im looking for rims. so i went down to the wreckers and he told me that the 2.0l ch stud pattern is different to a 2.4l. is this true? any replies would be appreciated cheers.

You want 4x100 if you have the 2l non mivec engine, the 2.4l mivecs have 4x114 and the vrxs have 5x114

Although.... do you have a VRX or and LS/ES? The VRX all came with 5 stud whether 2.0 or 2.4

Half the tyre mobs I went and saw didn't even know some had the 4 x 100 in the CH and a lot of online shops list all as 4 x 114.

thanks guys. yeah the guy i spoke to didnt know. so why do the mivec engines have a different pattern?

The mivec engines have a different pattern because mitsubishi felt the need to confuse people ;) nah not tll sure why... probably because the mivecs are the "updated" model so they wanted to change as much as possible to make it as "updated" as they can aha!

And if you have an es/ls without the mivec engine yoy want to get 4x100 rims, if you have any vrx you want to get 5x114 and if you have a ls/es mivec you want 4x114... im pretty sure.

yeah sounds like they just wanted to confuse people haha. yeah its not mivec so 4x100 it is. yeah ive only had it for 3 months now but it runs great. im thinking of grabbing a cheap pair of stock rims and just getting them painted to suit it better because i like the basic look. anyway thanks a lot buddy.

All good man, I have only had mine for three months too! :) feel free to search/ask questions if ever you need to!
