ch lancer apple car play

I have a 2005 ch es lancer 2L I would like to have a 7' alpine apple car play touch screen installed. Can this be done? Because I noticed my tj magna and my old ce 2002 lancer sedan had that big gap under the headunit which would make room for a touch screen to fit in But these ch lancer don't...
