Whiteline KSB578A strut brace fitment on Mirage?

Hi all

Bit of searching tells me some people have issues with certain 'Lancer Sedan' strut braces fouling the bonnet on Coupe/Mirage.

Can anyone confirm if the Whiteline KSB578A fits with no clearance issues? Just concerned as the brace is shown as suiting all CE Sedan/Coupe.

Cheers

i've never heard this before?

only thing i've ever heard was the Evo4-6 3 point braces clashing with the VIN plate on normal CE's and there being no bracing for the 3rd point on the firewall.

this should fit fine.

Seemed odd to me too, but see this from @Hens in a past thread:

"If you have this problem it is because you are using a strut brace based off a sedan chassis on your 2door.
ive had this issue before when using a large type evo strut brace on a mirage. the bonnet could not close properly.
I used a cutting disc to cut material away from the bonnet skeleton and a grinder to clean it up."

Past Thread

Whiteline does list the KSB578A as suitable for all CE sedan/coupe/hatch so I guess it's fine - but feedback from someone who has used one would be great. I have no interest in cutting out bonnet skeleton, or shimming bonnet hinges to gain clearance.

I'm currently using the KSB578A in my 97' coupe, fits perfectly with no issues, if you want a photo let me know and I'll snap one for you

Found this for the evo 4-6 just trying to get confirmation that it fits the CE chassis (sedan, coupe, mirage) before I purchase

Hope any answers will clear things up for others also
