Wheel advice - 15"

Hey all
New member and loving my 1/2003 Mirage!

Looking at wheels, and really liking the Rota Slipstream:

Rota Slipstream

This comes in a 15x7 +35

-Does this seem unnecessarily wide? I was hoping for a 6/6.5, but I guess the extra half inch wouldn't be that big a weight penalty?
-Would I encounter any rubbing issues with a 15x7 +35 at standard height? What about if I lower an inch?

Hoping to end up with something that 'fills the void' a little, rather than something that 'barely fits'.

Any advice much appreciated!

That size is fine and you can run 205/50/15 tyres on that size.
There should be no rubbing at standard height, or 1" lowered height with that wheel/tyre combo.

205/50/15 will clear the fenders just fine, the offset is also fine, no issues with the Speedo, from my experience with these rims, lowering the car an inch will be fine,
Any lower will need the guards rolled (knowledge from using the rota 15” wheels for nearly 2 years now)
7” rims are completely fine and give you a huge choice of tyres in 195/50 or 205/50 that will clear. They don’t look oversized at all.

I run 16x7 +43 Enkei RPF1s with 205/45 R16 at standard height. Haven't had any issues. Yours will look and work fine.
