touch up paint

Trying to do some research, is there touch up paint available for the colour Nile Blue? Will be doing some rust repairs to the roof of my lancer and will need it for touch up.

Any car part shop (super cheap, autobarn, repco) or paint shop should be able to mix you up some paint in a pressure pack (spray can) or in a tin. You just need to give them the colour code from your car and some cash.

there are also places that can take a image sample of you paint using a special machine/scanner and match directly to the paint as it sits on your car

Autobarn is the place for paint match's.Supercheap Repco dont have paint systems or the code weights to do it (99%) If you get a good guy at Autobarn to do it he may even be able to eye match it up from the code to the colour that the car is now. The auto colour match services are mainly for house paint not automotive. How do i know this ? I used to do a lot of the paint code mix's at an Autobarn so much so I used to end up with a headache from the thinners fumes lol. If you get it in a pressure pack and just want to do chips etc... just squirt a small amount into the cap and use a tooth pic or cotton bud..the ones that your miss's uses for make up with the pointy tip arent bad to use but a tooth pic is a bit more accurate.
Hope this helps
PS: A pressure pack used to be about $35 ish but it may be more now. Also...when the guy mix's it up in the cup get him to take the popsicle stick out to the car to check the match taking into consideration a small colour change when dry. Also keep in mind you may need clear if its a big area.

Hit up autobarn for touch up paint. I used spray cans on my front bar when doing a license plate offset and it come up pretty good, depending on how large of an area youve got to paint maybe getting a tin and using a spray gun would be better.

they do have the auto match machines for auto paint now originally yes they were for house paints but now a good paint shop has the machine. lots of panel shop now have the machine. because of how picky people can be when getting insurance work done
