Tachometer wiring for a CC coupe carb 1.5

Hey all, looked around for a guide but can only seem to find a guide for injected motors.
Tachometer has 4 wires, red, black I have sorted, but the green and white I'm guessing is signal and lighting, I can't find where to wire to. Dizzy only seems to have 2 small wires available and I'm not sure which one to tap into. And for the light source, can I just tap into the headlights straight after the fuse box?
Sorry if this is a shocking example of grammar and spelling, iPhone typing as my computer just ate *poo* for some reason.
Cheers!

I'm sure if you had a multimeter you could find out which one of the 2 wires coming it is but other from that I've got no idea what wire it would be. Sure someone on here will know

i pretty sure it's black with white stripe there is a how to on this forum somewhere. i'm running a 1.8l glxi cluster in my brother 1.5l and to ensure we got the right signal wire we used a normal aftermarket tach.

mate if ur wanting help with doing that inbox me and ill help you out when i get home :p
ive actually done the wiring set up, theres two wires that go into the distributor(the 1.5 carbs came out with the coil inside the dissy which is where you normally hook the signal wire upto) im not 100% sure on which wire it is but i will have a look when i get home and get back to you.
is it a glxi instrument panel ur wiring up or a aftermarket tacho?

is this what ur trying to get to work?

I'm thinking of installing a GLXi cluster into my carby, a diagram or guide for the tacho would come in handy :D

Also, can the odometer modules be swapped in them so you can keep the same milage?

i believe the odemeter modules can be swapped as their mechanical in the cc lancers. however i did not try this with mine cuz i was too lazy haha
the "signal" wire from the glxi cluster(tacho connections) goes to the "white-ish" wire on the wires going to the distributor just before the connection(always do it just before the connector)
here is a diagram on how to do the wires on the instrument cluster(the green wire is not needed, im assuming the guy who did this wired something else up because when i tried to wire this up, the check engine light was constantly lit up)

this is the best i can do at this time of the night(ive only just gotten home)
i hope this helps you all out :)

the only wire that you needs to go anywhere other than the cluster is the white one in the above picture which is the tachometer signal wire.
then you need to get a small section of wire to run the tm earth toher eanot sure but i think you also need to do the same for power i have a 1.4 here running this mod but it's my brothers and he won't let me get anywhere near it to take photos even though i wired the damn thing up for him.

Cheers man, this will come in handy

Is the white wire to the distributor easy to access?

Carby engine, tachometer signal comes from negative side of ignition coil
the coil for these engines are actually in the distributor(dizzy) itself, took me forever trying to find it until i had to pull my dizzy apart lol
