Hi all, I have looked around this thread, and seen multiple posts about a short shifter for the lancer ce. I have tried to find some on ebay, but some seem sketchy and i didn't want to rick it without knowing much. I've seen people link multiple different ones, but they all are corrupted links, and they just take me to ebay and say "item not found", to which i assume they aren't sold anymore. Ive seen videos of people installing them and they look pretty straight forward. So could anyone that knows of a solid one, that they know from experience, or just link me ot ones that will fit mine?
Thanks in advance

anything to suit a evo 4-6 (also same same as a 5spd ev07-9, not a 6spd) will be right to use. i just search "evo short shifter" in ebay and sort through to find one to fit a 4-6. DO NOT buy one to suit a evo1-3.

pro tips:

-> dont just install it the way it comes out of the box

-> remove the circlips around the main ball joint and the 2 (TWO!) grub screws, slide the ball joint to the position closest to the thread. if its at the end of the shaft furthest from the threaded end, itll feel no different to stock.

-> have some tools like a drill and a jigsaw handy if you move the ball to the highest point, you'll need to modify the shifter housing by cutting some of the base away otherwise the cable will rub and it'll feel notchy and you'll be hating life. dont be scared it wont effect the housing.

-> remove and flip the counter weight so its tapered toward the thread (ie /___\ ) instead of away from it ie: \__/ that way the shift boot will sit properly and not be stretched over it.

-> take photos of the side spring, L bracket on the side and rear bolt in the housing. if you do not reinstall all this the right way, the shifter wont automatically return to centre.

if anyone who says these arent worth it: my money is they havent installed it correctly.
