question how would i know what ecu would fit my car (4g93 sohc) i found a Mr446431 dont know if she would work :(

man this thread is awesome, your really going hard with these mods. need another p plate lancer with mods in my area to help me chop the euros haha. love to see it, giving me inspiration to pour more into my lancer. how much better did it feel with the strut braces installed ?

Look im not rlly the guy to talk about this, I only know what works with my car. But, msg Dunkirk or another admin they know eveything to do with CE gen lancers. However, if the ecu comes from a CE lancer then it should work. Is that the black case ecu or the metal case ecu?

Thanks man:)
Pour as much energy you have into your car in your free-time and I guarantee you'll enjoy the car way more.
Chopping disgusting golf gti's and stock ss's is my goal hehe

And nah I couldn't rlly feel a difference on the street but you'll definetly feel a difference on the track, especially if you do both front and rear braces bro

Cheers for the reply matey , I'll have a sus around , this is for a black case

Got a can of BC Scotia White factory colour on the weekend along with some flexible primer for rubber surfaces and got to do some painting to the rear spoiler. Always wanted the duck tail spoiler to be kinda subtle but with it being balck it stood out like crazy and didn't match the car. Painting it white made it look so much cleaner and rlly just adds to the curves and points of the rear end.
3 coats of primer and 5 coats of white later...

:)

Yes yes yes that is on my list of exterior mods along with the mr side skirts n rear pods. Its always bugging my ocd when I walk past and see it not lined up lol

Nice little addition to the family :) :)
Was gonna go with 275cc injectors from a 6g74 magna but got a set of 292cc injectors from a later model 6g74 instead. Needed the extra bit of headroom as i wouodve been close to maxing out 275s.

Hopefully this should be a very reliable build, I'm replacing everything with new/ refurbished part, even if people think its useless Im doing it just to be safe.

Despite what people say, you shouldnt reuse old gaskets, especially exhaust or intake manifold gaskets, as once the gasket is compressed, it loses its shape and deforms ever so slightly, and that coukd rlly hinder performance and reliability.

Iff you rlly care about your build and want to do everything correctly and once, without having to fix any mistakes, just go the extra mile and spend a little more so you can be assured the build is as reliable as u can make it.
Short little rant but ugh it annoys me

100% man. The attention to detail is what will bring the best driving experience without any hassles or worries. Things are really heating up. Keep us all posted

The day where I can put everything together is coming closer and closer. Im still just as excited as when I first starting planning this out in November last year.

Done a few littke things while I've been away for a bit.
Firstly, I grabbed a pair of CE 1.5 tailights to match the evo reflectors. Big thanks to @Cleanmin for that:). Had to swap a few bulbs from the old unit to the new one but other than that it works and looks perfect.

Secondly, I painted the matte black door handles to BC Scotia White. Turned out pretty good but probs shouldve clear coated them. Still gotta get a paintbrush and just go over and touch up all the little areas I've missed around the edges but that's for another day. I was also thinking abiut painting the mirrors white too but idk I think the matte black matches the b piller and windows, especially when I end up tinning them.

Thirdly, I went and bought some air-conditioning ducting to make some brake ducts. The aluminium ducts are actually quite durable and tough, but if they end up getting damaged from gravel and what not ill just go grab some proper silicone ducting instead. This turned out super super cool, its definetly one of my favourite things about the car atm. I've only got the ducting sitting close to the dust shield for now as for Xmas I wanna get 2 piston calipers, 275mm slotted discs, braided line and 1" booster, so ill wait until then to cut holes 3" into the shields so they're actually cooling down the centre of the discs.

I also moved my intake back into the engine bay. I've just had to many scares with hydrolocking the engine and I just need to keep it reliable as its my daily. I've started to mock up a cardboard heat shield but I'm still trying to perfect the placement and shape of it, but I've already put in 2 cold air ducts, 1 bringing cold air to the underside of the filter and the other bringing air to the right-hand side. That alone keeps the filter pretty cool so the heat shield should be the piste resistance to the whole setup.
