Retrim Questions

mine screw into the felt/carboard, they have a flat back on them

are urs LED?

they look it in the pic

i wanna go for the halogens. they have that more natural look. LED's tend to be white/blue

yeah mine are LEDs, they have a very bright white light, great for readin maps, lol

Ryan is right.

what he is trying to say is, use the housing that I have. My housing as like a depth of 10mm, unlike LED with a depth 50mm.

But like Ryan has said, you can put LED replacement globes into the housings I have. i think this will be the best option.

They are flush with the roof lining, unlike the ones the other guys have.

Thanks a million for all the info guys.. I'll probbaly have a look into getting LED replaement globes for the downlights, as like a lot of you say, they dispense less heat, use less power and give a brighter light.. Although, i do like the yellowish light the standard ones give off, so i might have a little play with things..

Thanks again for the tips, fingers crossed the whether is a bit better this weekend and i can really get stuck into some of this. GOt some really cool things planned :)

Yeah i think i will. If i do need to i'll be getting some nier ones first. I might give the seats to my mum to have a shot at, she's got some fancy sewing machines and know s a fair bit about that stuff, so she'll be able to help me out a bit haha...

Yeah hopefully i can pull that off. But i really dont like the front seats, gotta lean around the corners so i dont fall out lol.

Yeah iw as in autobarn today, they have some nice ones, can get a decent set for $400, but i've seen similar ones in CE's before, and sometimes they're too tall for the car and look a bit strange.

haha, that sucks! Although to be honest i wouln't mind if that happened to mine at the moment. There's a nice big scratch on my windsheild that i've been told wont be able to be repaired, having to get a new one wouldn't exactly deter me.

well this is the second windshield i've cracked lol, if i was you, just get the door fabric trimmed

haha bl there.. I'd rather go the whole way, I don't see the point in doing half of it, then leaving the rest stock. Looks strange.

Anyway, bit of an update. Got some test fabric today, also got some perspex, fibreglass, and a couple of downlights. For the rest of the day i'll just be making a switchboard that will go in the glovebox. It'll have switches for the downnlights, a few more switches for varios other thigns and a fuse box.

Haha cause i'm lazy and need the car until wednesday, after then i'll be able to use the moty for work, after that i'll strip the whole car and see how we go.
