Looking at replacing the clutch sometimes very rarely I get a rubbing sound like it's coming from the gearbox I put the clutch in and the sounds gone. It sounds like rubber wheels rubbing together or a knock it's strange. I know it's due for a service.

Clutch release bearing ?

When replacing a clutch.. do I need clutch, flywheel and centre bearing ? . Is there anything I'm missing? Fork?

I'm new to manuals.

Hey mate, the sound is likely the clutch release bearing. If you go to do the clutch, you’ll need a clutch kit, alignment tool, release bearing and some grease bare minimum.

I’d advise that you replace the fork and pivot at the same time. Also clean the box with degreaser, change the fluid and bleed/change the clutch fluid too.

Remember to shop around when you get a clutch kit, plenty of shops put lots of margin on them.

I would not recommend this job as a DIY unless you have plenty of tools, patience, and space. Gearbox is a little heavy and awkward. Aaaaannd you need a way to support the engine in the bay while you drop the box. I think I had to drop the coolant too, as my box snagged on my radiator hose on the way out

Your noise could also be a roll over noise in the gearbox, requiring bearings to be replaced. If the noise disappears just as you touch the clutch pedal it will be the thrust race, but if the noise only stops when the clutch is fully depressed then it is likely to be bearings.
