Radiator repair -Fixed

FIXED: For the record, a Nimbus radiator will fit, the lower fan mount for the driver side is the wrong type but it will still go in as the tops fit. The overflow hose is on the wrong side, but thats easy fixed by getting some longer hose and making it do a 180*.

For $100 and 2 hours, the Tron-mobile is back on the road!



So basically I'm like 3-4 hours from home and 1 hour from anyplace with car shops etc. And have a hole in my radiator, leaking fast enough to not make a long drive.

How do I fix this.

Lol, I'm trying for that. But there are no shops arounds. Ice got a repco but it'll take years to order it in since they are inthe middle of nowhere.

Hoping a can find a wreckers nearby.

i dont suppose you have access to soft sold and a blow torch

what about some sort of silicon (that will take the heat)
try a hardware store or plumbing supply shop.

that may get you back to get a new one

a mate of mine had a leaking rad for over a month running the car with no coolant at all... :lol: and suprisingly the car is still fine. youl be fine to drive it home like that just dont thrash it?

didn't hit anything, musta got a stick up into the fan or something, goto parkes and when i started up to leave its started pouring coolant all over the driveway. Its on the engine side, not the front bar side.

Waiting till 830 when the semi wrecking yard opens to go snag a radiator from something. just need to get me home, then i can still get to work and uni using public transport, while i order one on ebay LOL

Fixed with a radiator from a Nimbus, just incase anyone else ever has this issue.
