and also my car is only valued at $6K so i have to factor in insurance for the new car in that too as my policy is cancelled (so i dont get any refund on the 6-8 months still left on policy) when i get paid out after a write off. just cars new way of dealing?

i tranfsfered my rego from my lancer to my commodore and got a $115 refund because its cheaper and still almost my years rego .. why couldnt yours transfer im with ammi ...
 
When you make a claim and the vehicle is written off the insurance policy is cancelled and void (irrelevant of who is at fault). This happens with every insurer I believe.
 
transfering insurance and have a written of car and paid are are a different story as stated by ryan above :)

they are 99.3 or something kw standard and only weigh something like 900 or less kg.

now tell me a n/a 1.8 has that power/weight ratio. guys are just being stupid and hating on the car lol

Prove it.. over in the states guys have made 1.8L run high 11's low 12's, but they are not stock engines.
