Noticeable engine rattle above 3ks

Hey guys, today I did a 4k launch in the lancer and after the launch I slower down only to notice that there was an annoying rattle in the engine bay. The rattle and the rpms have a direct relationship and increases in loudness and pitch when it does anything above 3ks. I need some help cause I'm not to sure what is going on. The sound is similar to this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObO_YCH-Ilw), one of the commentators say it's related to the tension of the belt? what do you guys think. Was running perfectly before the launch
 
Might have a blocked up oil passage. It would restrict oil flow when it gets over a certain rev range.

I took the tappet cover off mine when I did a service and found a few carbon nuggets getting ready to cause a heart attack
