From Tamworth. I picked up a 2002 cg vrx dirt cheap. Love this car already. Has extractors done, sounds sweet. Nice to find the forums around... Looking for things to make it even better.
 
Hi Keggsy welcome to the forums.
The vrx is a good start with some nice extras as standard. Small changes can made big differences. Does it have a cat back performanxe exhaust as well as the extractors? Fit a performance air filter or change to a pod. A good set or rims and tyres will make it feel and look better. For handling options a set of coil overs are hard to beat.
But mainly just start to enjoy driving it first then you can appreciate each little upgrade you do.
 
No performance exhaust... But I need to replace the one that's on it anyway... The baffles are all shot in it....looking into air filters atm... The maf seems really restrictive when I looked at it... And I don't know if I can put a bigger or less restrictive a/m one on... And then yeah, performance or pod, either or... I'm not fussed either, but I do like induction sound
 
CH VRX was very slightly lowered compared to an CH ES etc. so may be the same with CGs. Lancers handle quite well from the factory already though so maybe you're just feeling that effect if you're coming off something like a commodore or similar.
