Mods with out going overboard

Hi,
Im Lisa and a newbie.
Ive recently bought a 02 CG VRX manual.
I am in love with this thing (Betty is her name - shes black)
I just wanted to know what I can do to her mod-wise to get a bit better performance and handling with out affecting my insurance (used to work in the industry and saw alot of people affected by not listing mods and then not being covered).
Any ideas would be great

Make it breathe better. Intake/headers/catback exhaust. But best thing to do is upgrade your suspension and brakes. Putting on a rear sway bar works wonders on these cars for "spirited" driving. CGs don't come standard with them (unless I'm missing something and they added one on for the vrx model?) and there is a lot of body roll and understeer.

Thanks for that. Its a starting point. I drive a lil bit harder than the average joe so i want something thats going to handle accordingly

yeah, you can mod as much or as little as you want really. sway bar is definitely a good start, don't be too afraid of insurance though, as you would know, as long as it's listed and legal you won't have a problem.

Unfortunately, the price hikes up when u start modding. I might start there. Im happy with fuel economy and its insanely comfy to drive (i had a vs commy before this and the commy had old sports suspension which was old and stiff and the fuel economy was a joke).

As the guys above have said, getting the car breathing better and doing basic suspension mods will make the car way more fun to drive. I can't wait until i get my rear swaybar lol

vrx comes with rear sway bar from factory. also ch vrx brakes fit nice to the cg, just completed the upgrade my self.
