Light leveling

Nothing you fit to your CE with HIDs will be legal (projector lenses are just the less dodgey way of going HID)....unless of course you are able to incorporate lense washers, auto-levelling and then somehow get them ADR complied....

Yes, but you can add a windshield washer bottle in the engine bay, and route 2 hose lines to the front bar, and put the little bonnet sprayers in front. So you can show the cops that it has washers, and I doubt they are going to ask to see the Gyro-like device in your car that detects pitch change.

With projectors, it removes that glareyness that shouts "Illegal HIDS!!" so while still not ADR approved, your reducing the risk of being pulled over by a heap.

My 2c.

Not a bad summation.. but I wouldn't even bother with the sprayers... just do it and use a near-daylight kelvin rating bulb (say 4300k), then the police wont be so inclined to pull you over, just because you wanted to look like a blue or purple alien (and yes, most people get pulled over because they choose the WRONG colour bulb and stand out like a pair of dog's nuts..)

Yup, if you dont draw there attention buy getting super wild colour HIDs and put them in a glarey reflecting headlight housing, you probs wont get pulled over.

Still depends on the mood of the cop and how switched on they are though. I reversed down the wrong lane for half a kilometer down Taren Point road yesterday then did a u-turn in front of a HWP, and he didnt look twice at me.

yeah.. meant to add that they should be in projector, not reflector housings... of course....

Depends on the the cutoff/beam shape you want, Projectors will give you a flat cutoff, reflectors are a bit more roundish.

well they wont make it brighter as the brightness is governed by the bulb you use, it may make it more concentrated though,

these are projectors, keep in mind they are close range so there lots of bounce of my bed etc.

also have a lot at unclepaulie pic a few posts up ^^^ those are also projectors,

now drive you car up to a flat wall and turn on the headlights. you will notice a difference, its up to you really which one you like and how you have it aimed.

i think the more expencive projector cyl have a better light cuttoff
cos mine even at close rance have a very sharp cut like pauls, but for foggies i guess its not so important
