Lancer ES exhaust

Hey so I got a 2011 lancer ES recently and I defiantly need a new exhaust, I’m not very good when it comes to exhausts and don’t know too much about what parts to get so I was looking for help. I want an exhaust that will be relatively quite at startup and at low revs but as as loud as I can legally get at high revs. I have a budget of about 500-600
 
You probably wont be able to get both quiet+loud for 5-600. Best compromise might be a good quality resonator (to reduce drone) and a straight-through rear muffler (for noise), and if you're lucky you'll be able to step up a fraction in pipe size to keep the sound deep.

Honestly it being quiet isn’t my biggest worry, I forgot to mention that I want it to increase performance aswell. So anything that won’t be loud going through backstreets and stuff but you’ll really hear it when I gun it. Thanks
 
Stock exhaust pipe size was pretty much fine from memory on the CJs. If you go bigger you may get more top end but you'd probably lose too much low and mid range for it to be worthwhile.

I had the chunky resonator cut out and replaced with pipe (there was still a long hot dog) and replaced the muffler with a Magnaflow muffler. Worked well but mine was an 08 model and 11 would have a different exhaust design.

Did that increase any horspower, and or make ur car a lot louder?
 
Sorry no idea regarding power as I never actually put it on a dyno.

It made the car a bit louder but not loud enough to be offensive.
