is my engine a 1.5 or 1.8!!!

i own a 2000 mitsubishi lancer gli
its a 5sp manual. has power steering, no electric windows or central locking but has a imobiliser
i got told on mlga that its a 1.5 lire ce aggesss ago but ive doubted that ever since i was told. i previously owned a excel and this guns it compared to the excel.
is there anyway to find out exactly what it is?

ive looked at the silver stamp things and all they say is 2000 mitsubishi lancer ce... and the vin engine number etc but no engine specifics. i have a thread ill find the link

isnt an easy way to spot the diff between a 4g15 and 4g93 the placement of the leads? with a 4g15 leads being at the front and a 4g93 being at the back,
i mean i could be WAY off with this assumption, but its worth a shot, so dont burn me

Thats a 1.5l.... used to be the same as my old engine.

I have a 2000 ce lancer gli as well.

Yeah, 1.5L. The 1.8L wasn't offered in the GLI's until 2002 I think.

deff 1.5, more room in the engine bay

thats a 1.5L. just look at the headers. the 1.5l headers r 2 and 2. the 1.8l's are all 4 together.
