Interchangeable Parts

Hello to everyone in the community. I drive a 2002 CE Lancer 1.8L Gli Sedan.

My reason for posting this is to gain some insight and knowledge as to whether parts from other Lancers can be used in my CE Lancer Sedan. Body panels and exterior parts such as lights and mirrors won't be interchangeable because the bodies are just different. I am looking more specifically for information about the vehicle internals and engine and running parts. For example, radiators, condensers, engine parts, suspension and shocks, sensors, and electronic parts.

More urgently, I want to know if an AC Condenser, Radiator and Radiator Fan Assembly from a CE Lancer Coupe will fit and bolt right into my CE Lancer Sedan. My car has been in a crash, and the front end, including the condenser and radiator, is damaged, along with the fan assembly. Wreckers do not have my model of vehicle available here in Perth, and those that do have already been parted out. The coupe models, however, are in abundance. Hence the reason for my question. The other parts are not needed now, but I would like to know that for future reference.

These are the two cars in question. Mine is the sedan, and the coupe is what I am looking into parts about.

Thank you to everyone in advance. Any help and experience is appreciated greatly.

Yes all of that will fit. The only important part is that it suits the correct transmission as manual radiators don't come with oil lines, autos do.

Interior, everything swaps over between them except the doors, seatbelts, glass etc. Yknow obviously sedan/coupe body differences.

Just check how your condenser etc mount as the mounts can change. The part itself is the same though. So get the mounts, bolts etc along with the part from the wreck.

Suspension, engines, gearboxes are mostly the same. Moreso depends on 1.5L v 1.8L, most differences lay there. 1.8 are the same between them, 1.5 are the same between them, gearboxes too, but 1.5 and 1.8 are not the same as each other. And 1.5 v 1.8 gearboxes are not the same as each other.

You can mix and match them with the correct parts though (flywheel and clutch to suit the gearbox, all of that will bolt onto the other engine.)

Boots, tail lights, wheels, spoilers, and the front half of the exhaust are also the same

That's just the kind of answer I was looking for. Thanks a bunch mate!!

Definitely double check the Aircon stuff ! Some cars had the AC as a OEM fitted option, and some had it installed by local manufacturers - they're not all interchangeable, though general mounting will be close. The fittings into the hardware will be the difficult part
