Ignition key ring wires

the loop of wire isnt linked to ay codes or aything, its simply an induction loop. Should work if you just swap the wires. Does your ignition barrel have a clear plastic thing or black plastic thing stock. If its clear you just have to clip in the bulb.

yea, but the key needs that stupid induction loop to recognise what key you are using to try and start the car. It's part of the security system. I don't think I can change it over to the illuminated one i have.
And as you can see in the pics, mine is black plastic stock. But you can also see in the pic theres a hole for the t5 light to go thru. Even if i did put the light in that it wont do anything because mitsubishi decided to make the ring black, not clear.

so can you take your black ring off and swap with your clear ring, just unplug the wires and reconnect the wires from the clear one.

Oh, ok well if you can see the pics you'll know what it looks like. The wires are in a little groove going around the ring, which the clear one doesn't have. So I don't think I can just swap it over.
If you're going to try this too, you might not be able to because of this. Or maybe you'll do something awesome to make it work and I can copy
Right now I might just use this relay to put a delay on the roof light. Might as well use it for something..

oh so your clear one doesnt have a wire loop?? Gotcha.
Hahaha fail. Also some CEs come with them clear and so do some magnas. Just pinch one from there, thats what i did. Im unsure what models came with tho. Just look for clear rings.

waaa 15, really? include postage with it and ill have it. if you can find it can you show a pic of it, like with the wires going to it? I wanna see that cuz im not so good connecting wires if theres not much to play with. You can see in the pic of mine that green wire is connected up in a really weird way...

The wires join exactly as your factory black one. and it has the wires with the plug on the end. ill take a pic. It looks exact same buy clear.

Nope its like a thermoplug, it detects UV light and initiates the cyclic reductor. LOL yer its a plug, will plug straight into your stock one. Like i said, its the exact same except clear plastic. LOL
