I want to go low/coilovers

Been wanting to go low for ages now and obviously need some coilovers but stuck at which ones will be the best for going low, camber adjustment as well is something I would want as well, can anyone help me out or just name some good brands and types etc.

I just used pedders camber adjustment bolts, no problems with them, also tried a few different coilovers over the years, Tein and BC Coilovers are right up there among the better ones, also MCA coilovers, only thing is they seem to be getting way more expensive from when first coming out.
Just remember with coilovers, you only get what you pay for sadly, I ended up using Eibach springs in the end on mine.
The spring rate and ride height all depends on your vehicles weight, many coilovers allow you to do this in two ways compressing/uncompressing spring by way of adjustment nut at spring seat which will alter preload—or by threading the shock's base up or down—which will alter shock travel, just about finding which setting works for ou I guess.
 
Worth noting too that some of the higher end coilovers (BC for example) will have the top mount camber adjustment on the upper plates. Most states will consider them illegal if that's something you are concerned about. But generally as wagon master said, using camber bolts like super pro, whiteline or pedders will give you two levels of camber adjustment depending on which bolt hole you put them in. Camber bolts will usually give you a pretty bang on amount of camber for a street/track setup depending on how crazy of a wheel setup you want to run upfront. On the rear, you should have a lot of room to play even in the stock form, adjusting from the rear chassis point where the control arms meet up. Most of my mates with CE/CH chassis run BC coilovers with custom spring rates depending on what they want to use the car for.

Again, whatever you want to get out of it there are plenty of options for you, just have to do some digging and find out what direction you want to go :)

Do you know of any more budget friendly coilovers? :astonished:
 
Ummm, maxpeedingrods are the cheapest but they are *fudge*ing awful. Put it this way, I've been running some form of upgraded OEM shocks with king springs for nearly 8 years now, and I'm only just going for coilovers. You could always try a set of lowering springs for the time being. I really would suggest just taking your time, saving up and doing it once and doing it right with coilovers. If you've been in cars with cheap coilovers you will get what I mean, expect to come out 2 inches shorter as your spine is shot out your ass

What is your opinion on these coilovers for the CH?
 
For your chassis, XYZ appear to be the cheapest of the quality sets of coilovers, coming in at about 1400, but at that point, you would just save the extra and get the BC's for like 150 more.

Otherwise, it will be your choice of ebay coils ranging from about 500-800

The V1 series of the BC are good, but same principal, I'd just be saving for the Golds by that point :)
 
I've got BC Br series coils in mine, they're fantastic, really easy to adjust and set to your taste. I'd recommend them but price they're about 1400 from memory. I paid about 1400-1500 a few years ago but still pretty solid and in their second car now

Damn this hobby is expensive T-T
 
They also have different spring rates that's mainly the difference between them where as they're all fully adjustable so depending how stiff you want it or daily driving friendly you want it you can get the v1 series for entry level and mainly daily driving while having full adjustment or go golds for more competitive and track use

ok nice, well im probably gonna just stick to the streets so maybe the V1 series is the better choice?
