HOW TO FIT? Whiteline Front Tower Brace

HELP! Just received Whiteline front strut tower brace (KSB 638). Top of strut tower is uneven ie: two levels, Brace is flat one level, so doesn't mate properly
Can overcome problem by placing supplied washers between strut and tower top but loose flush, stronger fit.
Washer shown on top, of brace, under nut, on all internet threads I have been able to find.
Car is MY15 CJ ES Sport, bar is KSB638 supposed to fit this car

Whiteline on internet claim not to have installation instructions but will contact them on Monday anyway.

spacer washers seem awfully dodgey to me, should have just bought the OEM VRX brace...

Not washers but rather spacers have had response from Club CJ member with this set up, everything fine. OEM about four times the price.
Whiteline and Ultra Racing are very popular apparently.

As spacers are supplied by Whiteline as part of the kit and have to be used, yes have to be used, either under end plates in this application or on top of end plates in some others.
Cant see any problems.

Strut brace with washers/spacers.. Wouldn't it then still flex slightly rendering them useless?

No diamonds rigby, if there was I'd flog them and buy a RR. Gillzi, the plate is made of high quality steel, of a gauge about three+ times, that of the strut tower top
held in a triangulated manner so cant see a problem and strut tower top will be held as securely as it was, so no deterioration there.
Certainly an improvement to what it was.. Be a heap more flexing elseware in the suspension.

Let you know if I feel any difference in handling. Expect improvement even with my sedate driving style and should be a boon in an emergency.

Whiteline AusLancer.jpg All done, fitted Whiteline tower brace no problems just 6 nuts to remove place end plates in and redo nuts.
Fit bar in position and insert and activate Quick release. All set. Cost bar and Quick release $231

PS Placed spacers (washers ) under strut bar.

Couldn't put this in as edit due to time limit!!!

Makes time limit an unnecessary hindrance doesn't it? Please remove it!!!

You can still edit the original first post you made. Just add an UPDATED: section to it. It's to prevent spam etc on the forum

tried editing just wanted to remove the r from the heading , couldn't. No worries!!

You should 100% be able to edit the title. Its in Thread Tools at the top, not at the bottom of the post as if you were editing the post itself.

All fixed by the Mods :) I think there still might be a couple website bugs hovering around from the forum updates, this being one of them

Not related to above! Used short cut to reach you.

Where are the club rules, regulations and contact eg: sending a PM etc: methods found? Is this worth a separate forum?

More directly how do I send a PM to a fellow member? I believe I already was told! Tried finding it but failed!!!:confused2:
Age Withers the mind.

Click on their name and you'll go to their profile, then there will be an option to start a conversation. That's your PM channel. Same deal if you wanna contact mods, I find going to their profile and from there is easiest.
