in your experience, do they firm up? (meaning become tighter)
It took me 10-hours and 400 C-Clips/gorilla clips to put in the retrims I bought for my seats... I agree lots of time to do your self, but great to save the coin for something that is fairly simple to do...
Noting I did not sew mine together, but I assume that would double the time!

Its stupidly hard. thats why it cost so much and no one does it.
I made mine the right size, so all I had to do was heat it, put it on and let it rest, fits snug and wont tighten because i never stretched the material in the first place.
well, having the skill and equipment must save heaps.
But, at $595 for bonded leather; including all seats, five headrests, door skin material and console lid(and about 10-hours to install myself), I am not displeased with retrim kits in general.
yeh well the vinyl alone probably cost me around $200 all up? not sure yet. i just like that it was cheaper and the colours exactly how i wanted them, he did a good job
