HIDs

hey guys.. im new to the forum.. just wondering if anyone knows how to change HIDs..? one of the bulbs is blown out, i was thinking of getting a replacement bulb from Jaycar..?

If your car already has HIDs, then its the same as a normal bulb replacement.Unclip the plug going to the bulb, most are a KET type and pretty intuitive. Then pull the grommet off back of headlight (if theres one there), unclip the spring, pull out bulb. repeat.

is there like a difference in the type of the HIDs? if so, how do i check which type is which? i didnt install the HIDs my self, so dont know how it really works

Have you had a look at the bulb? Looking at the bulb will tell you more or less.

i did, doest really tell much, but i went to the shop and they say to bring it into the shop, any tips on how to remove the HID bulb?

sweet.. haha sorry.. but yeh, found out what type it was, and bought it.. will be fixing it tomorrow.. thx guys
