Front Bar, Can't decide

I've had my ce (4g15, unfortunately =[ ) since february, and apart from the stereo everything else is stock. I'm getting a CAI kit and catback in december, but have been wanting to snatch a bodykit for a while.

So I'm thinking about getting a full vertex kit, but am tossing up between vertex and trial for the front bar. Has anyone bought/fitted either of these previously? I've seen a few guys/girls on here with the full vertex kit, and it looks pretty mint, but am thinking about changing it up a bit and grabbing a trial (as stated).

All you seem to see in s/e qld is droid kits, which i think are pretty ridiculously ugly, each to their own I suppose.

OH AND ALSOOOO, Anyone from around SE QLD - are there any good local shops that stock lancer bodykits? if not, I'm looking at getting it shipped from GT Autostyle.

GT auto style is where i got mine, there just a middle man, they don't make there bars.
i think they got them from x racing, but he is closing down now.

Vertex is really low, especially if your car will be lowered in the future.
Trail front plus vertex sides, not sure if they would line up very well.
 
try to avoid mixing n matching body kits. normally they dont match up well.

and yes, vertex kit sits looowww

If you're going to get it freighted interstate, look at Fibresports. They currently have a 15% off offer for AusLancer members.

They also do their own fibreglassing.
 
yeh, i agree with some about the height difference in some bars
for instance, the droid and trial front bars sit about 40mm (roughly) higher than the vertex and R34 front bars
the buddyclub and droid skirts go fairly well together with the droid/trial, but as like the front bars the bomex and vertex skirts sit alot lower
iv done a bit of research into the matter, i also spoke to 12shw a while back and got him to measure his trial bar and compared it to my droid

trial front wont match vertex side or rear IMO

trial front would match buddy club side, evo sides, droid and of course trial sides.
and the rears would probably match aswell.
 
why not consider titan bar? they look cool, just throwing it out there as another posibility, (matches buddyclub sides and rear from what i seen)

vertex is way overdone, looks okay but overdone, driod is gay and evo is generic, so why not a full trail kit or titan

fibresport is a new sponsor for this site, try them out, from what they say they have alot of experience and do their own glass
 
i dont reccomend buying from carmate as iv heard their products are not up to decent scratch

but their website has a good layout and easy to use if you need to put pics to the descriptions were giving :p

Carmate is crap lol! But the website it great for looking at the different body kits!

Vertex kit is really low, I had to raise my car a bit when I put it on as I was scraping on absolutley everything (and that was only the front bar)... but its a really nice kit, much better than most of them out there imo.
I've got the vertex front with droid rear and sideskirts - the difference in height is about 2inches... but when you don't look too closely its not heaps noticeable!!
 
haha cheers for all the comments guys, So vertex is the go, I'm guessing. anyone got recommendations for where to go to get the kit painted when I do get it?

Oh and I'm guessing GT Autostyle's kits will fit easily, yeah? One of my mates was trying to tell me to grab the vertex kit off ebay, but I don't really trust buying stuff on ebay.
 
Nothing sexier then the buddy club rear with Quad tips or One each side.

Even better if you can mould the bar in. Soon vertex will be everywhere and the other kits will be rare.

ahh yes ur right. i was thinking of ur side skirts and rear but thats the r34 bomex kit. my mistake.

Haha, a sheep? not quite. Droid kits are rather sheepish these days, seems like everyone's got them.

How do you fit a buddyclub rear bar? Don't quite understand how it would "attach to original bumper bar"

yup, it fits by slipping onto the botton of ur stocko bar, then use sickaflex or some other adhesive to bond the 2, and maybe a clamp to hold it while it dries, better to get a profesh to do it if u dont know
body kits arnt easy to fit from what i hear, might need trimming etc, no mold is perfect
