Hey guys just wanting some help with extractors , I have a 2.0L ch lancer and thinking about getting these 200800533460 ( eBay item number ) my car already has a sports exhaust but the headers still look standard . The exhaust already has a nice note I'm just looking for possible cheap power . What are your thorts ?

Don't have time to look that up but extractors will give you a small increase in power/better economy, more so depending on the brand.

These don't have a brand name but they look bigger than the standard pipes and they look like there fairly good quality in the photos

Those extractors look ok, but don't expect huge gains. Exhaust/intake mods are good for helping the car breathe better and can give you gains in areas like throttle response and smoother acceleration throughout the rev range. But don't be mistaken for thinking you're going to notice big power increases.

There is really no such thing as cheap power in the car game. And if it is cheap it will probably cost you more in the long run to replace if/when it breaks. As the saying goes: cheap, fast, reliable - you can choose only two. Cheap and fast, won't be reliable; cheap and reliable, won't be fast; fast and reliable, won't come cheap.

One of my mates used to work for an exhaust shop until recently.
Plenty of jokes get round the workshop about eBay cheapies, you get what you pay for. :problem:

Thanks , no I'm not expecting anything huge , I'm planing to get a bigger throttle body and intake ,maybe injectors ect but they can wait untill Iv got my Ps , do you no how to tell the difference between a good and bad set of headers ?

Going with a trusted brand you generally can't go too far wrong.
Stuff like your Genie's, Pacemakers, Hurricane.
Sure you'll pay a little more now, but saves dramas down the road.

I just installed hens 4-2-1 extractors for the 4g15 and I can notice the difference in performance slightly but still definately worth the mod

Ok so the bloke selling them just got back to me, they are by m2 performance , but he also said they fit left hand drive vehicles and to check if they will fit RHD vehicles as well, aren't both vehicles the same in the engine bay ?

i would be also wanting to check if they are for a automatic or manual gearbox as there could be clearance issues, make sure they are speciaficlly for the 4G94 engine as they are a taller engine than the 4G93 engine.. a good designed manifold will have the collection of all four pipes meet under the engine and be of almost equal length
