Exhaust question

CS Is just the design code for the CG/CH Body. The vin numbers at start will show cs6a for 4g94 sedan, cs7a is 4g69 motor, whereas cs6w is 4g94 wagon, The following two digits determine the engine and the body shape. 6 refers to the 4G94 motor, 7 refers the 4G69 motor. A refers to the sedan boday, and W refers to the wagon

Answer is yes CS 06 will fit your 05 providing you are swapping from cat back, I think yours is a CH 2lt 05 from what I read on past post, and I think CH engines were upgraded in late 05, to be honest instead of mucking around with used exhaust, you should be able to get a new cat back for around $400, anyone else on forum get new cat back recently and how much?

If anyone in newcastle/hunter valley knows some prices around this mark could you let me no where I've been ringing around but nothing round that unfortunately

If you ring around asking for prices, you probably won’t get an accurate estimate. Exhaust shops are less and less common, so they tend to treat phone calls with a grain of salt.

If you have the time, just show up to one, ask in person. They’ll likely see the car and realise all you’re after is some 2-2.5” pipe, 2 pre cut bends and a muffler/tip.

Probably 1-2hrs work and $100-$200 in parts.

That being said, if yours is a 2lt and the exhaust came from a 2lt go for it. Or same same if yours is a 2.4 and the exhaust is from a 2.4

Yep SDate42 is spot on when seeking a replacement exhaust for your CH 2.0Ltr. There's no manufacturer making a cat-back replacement.

I got great service from KULUIN Muffers, Kunda Park making up the pipe in sections for a DIY install for $300.

hey brother are you talking about kuluin mufflers on the sunshine coast? i got a quote from them and they said $800 for 2.5inch with a muffler?

Yes, FYI my replacement cat-back was 2" not 2.5" & didn't include a muffler. I was advised that a suitable steel sports muffler would add $120~$140.
Did you want SS? Otherwise you must've struck them on a 'bad' day?

Yeah, best approach is face-to-face, suggest you chat Anthony (boss) & gain a better deal?
Maybe you can buy the SS Muffler on-line & save some $$'s? Good luck bud.
