Engine swap CC Lancer

My son's car is a '96 coupe, it has a 4G15 manual with a carby.
He wants to put in a 4G93 from a '94 that we have here. Got the whole car.

How difficult is it?

I'm thinking especially the wiring, is the loom easy to access and change over?
I know we'll need to use the fuel injection tank and probably the fuel lines.

I think the 15 is in backwards, is that as straighforward as changing the axle shafts around?

Usually I'd just look myself and ascertain all these things and fix things as I go along but I'm pretty much crippled and the car is the son's DD and can't be off the road for long so I want to do a bit of research first.

Usually when working on cars I tell him what to do and he does the muscle stuff.

It's a pretty easy swap, but you do need to change the tank and run the additional fuel return lines. ECU is under the glovebox, if you have the right tools, a couple of hands to help and can get the cars side by side it could be easily done in a weekend. Where are you located?

Thanks for the reply.

No problems with the engine being back to front? Just use all the 'same side' parts and we're good?
How about the loom, does it just come out easily or do we have to go mining for it?

One thing I forgot, the 15 has a cable clutch the 93 is hydraulic. Is that any problem taking off and swapping?

I'm at Forest Lake, the donor car is at Stones Corner. Brisbane.

Is one of the cars a CE? All CC variants have the same engine orientation. Should be no issues swapping the whole gearbox and clutch assembly

The 15 is a '96. My son says the headlights are different to the '94 which I know is a CC. I thought CEs had the triangle tail lights, this doesn't.
The oil cap on the 15 is on the driver's side.

I see no problems with swapping over the whole engine and 'box assembly, I was just concerned about the hydraulics, is it straightforward to swap the pedal box and slave cylinder into the car that currently has a cable clutch?
