DIY: Projector Retrofit

I also got 4300k, due to being easier on the eye, brighter, and less noticeable/defectable.
6000k pure white, and is a very very pure and sharp light. It does get a little hard on the eyes after a while, as due to the light the colour is so harsh.

Alright 4300k looks good, I dont wanna go all the way up to 6000k, because the blueish colour stands out too much and attracts police attention, but is 5000k pure white or is also too intense and blue?

has anyone got photos of halos from TRS?

Looking at getting these soon, but I havnt seen many different people posting different types, e.g. 5000k, 6000k, or those people who did get halo's what size and how do they look?

Also what is postage price like?

Get what ever size halo you want but the one that best fits is 80mm I got 70mm and its a fraction to small. It tells you on the bottom of the order before you pay.

Also does anyone feel like doing my retro fit for me? Im really worried it wont work if I do it :/

Its easy as. Once your headlights are open its pretty hard to go wrong. Literally the most difficult part was waiting for my parents to be away long enough so i could use the oven.

Also just noticed with my retro fit theres that massive bunch of wires that are all labeled mine only has one plug that plugs into the old headlight plug, if that makes sense. Is that right?

Yup it pulls the signal from one h4 plug and then uses the new harness that's all thicker wires rated to the power draw of the HID's.

Correct Steve, so if you wanna have less weight in ur car or have a cleaner engine bay, u can cut the cables from the side your not using as its just gonna hang there unused :p

No pics but I ran it in the inside of the guards bolted to the chassis rails and ran it behind the rad support across. That way it's just a few wires coming up under the headlights to the back of them and looks standard.

Removed the bumper and headlights to do it but its incredibly neat ;)

Hopefully people understand what I'm referring to in this question but I know that factory hid projectors manage to get the slight raise or bump in the hid cut off to be in the middle of the road. So the lane your in has a little more light distance than the lane to your right, but I find mine is raising in the middle of my lane instead of the middle of the road, has anyone else found this problem? Or noticed it? Suggestions?

CE Lancers do not have factory HID projectors.

But if your referring to aiming your lights, as hotwyr said.

ADR rules say that the bump that you're talking about, is actually meant to be to the lefthand side of your lane, not the right or middle.

I just want to add here for those that are wondering:

You can get pretty good results with projectors in the stock fluted glass 2-piece headlights. Its a bit more work and requires a donor 1 piece set to complete without cutting into chrome reflector backing. You will also need to fabricate a shroud to surround the reflective backing if you use this method. The result is stealth 2piece glass projector headlights. Pics soon.

ok so I would assume that my friends liberty is off and mine is not, because mine leans to the left of my lane.... his leans to the right. other than that Im all sweet now!
Have been adjucting my new projectors everynow and then just try and get the perfect level.

Yeah it takes a few drives to find a good spot where you can see but your not blinding oncoming traffic.

Thanks for the write up Jazza.

1 Headlight is done 1 more to go, now should I leave it chrome or spray it black.

Thanks again Jazza
If it wasn't for this write up, I think I'd go bananas of trying to straighten those beams.
