Hello all, im considering buying an evo 7.5 GT-A on gumtree thats going pretttty cheap. ive actually been looking at 7's for quite a while now but this is the first 7.5 ive seen for sale in my area. i just wanted to know what are the differences between the two? why did Mitsubishi make a 7.5? they look exactly the same as the 7

i know they are automatic so serious answers please.

the 7.5 part was just a bit that enthusiast added to it as the 7 GT-A(2002) came after the manual 7 (2001).
its like unofficially the evo 8 MR is called the evo 8.5 (no such thing but 8 gsr released in 2003 and 8mr released in 2004)

all gt-a's from factory came with the smaller turbo, different exhaust and intercooler pipes(less noisy), more sound deadening and obviously the invecs II auto gearbox

everything else is optional such as
- large rear spoiler
- recaro seats (semi bucket, not the bucket ones found in the 7 GSR)
- electric leather seats
- MMCS

and other bits and bobs

i'd be more inclined to make sure the autobox is in good shape (better if it has been strengthened recently) and also auction papers. Remember, a reasonable km grade 4/grade 3 is better than a low km grade R. I cannot stress this enough. mileage is not the be all and end all of cars.
