Just checked yesterday, new from Mitsubishi the lid cost about $120 for the CC Lancer, I'd say the CE would be about the same.

Maybe make a DIY on a cup holder that fits inside that box... some cars have it as a 'lift-up' tray if you want to access the bottom. Hope that made sense lol.

Actually I am so going to do that in preparation for this summer....
