Clicking Noise when clutch is pressed and depressed

Hello, I have recently bought a 2004 Lancer ES. It’s manual and I’ve only just noticed a clicking noise when the clutch is pressed in and depressed. It sounds like it’s coming from the engine bay. Does anyone with high qualifications know what it could be?

Check lateral movement in your clutch linkage pin for wear, also check under mat for any sign of clutch master cyl leakage, other possibilities are clutch real ease bearing (usually, whirring noise, not clicking), clutch fork, but start with simple stuff under dash first, could even try bit of graphite grease on linkage pin assembly.

On diagram 20178 washer on pin can cause the clicking noise as well.
