CG CH steering wheels

hey all, are CG and CH steering wheels the same? i've found a mint CG VRX leather wheel i'm wondering if it will fit a CH?

also does anyone have ideas on how to get the wheel off? thanks!
 
they should fit perfectly fine

alot of mitsu's share the same steering wheel setup
 
Not sure I have a feeling that they are different... I think the CG is a one off meaning that neither the CE or the CH fit... it is a bit like the CH non mivec and the CH mivec they use different indicator and wiper switches - outwardly they look the same but will not transfer over to the other... might have something to do with the Cruise Control.

If the steering wheel is in good nik and cheap enough buy it and give it a shot
 
cheers dudes i think i'll grab it and give it a go. still need to get a CH tho lol

btw how does the air bag come out? i had a really quick look i think it screws in from behind but i don't know what bits are they torx or what?
 
i grabbed the wheel today for $30 it was a bugger to get off there were 3 8mm nuts at the back that hold the airbag in, and then theres a weird big hex or torx socket on the left that clamps onto the steering column. it looks like a CH wheel but its off a CG VRX. i had a look at other CH's in the yard and they looked pretty much the same.

if it fits thats awesome. easy upgrade to leather for us non leather ch folk
