CE lancer Power Windows and Mirrors

Now what I have to do to get the power windows to do?

I’ve never actually seen one missing the relay blocks.

You could put the MR interior wiring loom in, it’s a big job.
But at least you know it’ll work. Dash, seats & carpet out.
Then it’ll all work like from the factory.

Just so you know there are cheap *poo*ty power window kits (ebay) that use the manual winder arm to "power" the windows up and down ....... the motors are great however the mounting to the Mitsubishi doors SUCK to mount them too but I have kept the wiring and used that to control actual power window units from a lancer that had them at the wreckers so it was a matter of basically making that 'harness' fit the Mitsubishi motor plug.

So my ramble is if you can maybe get 1 of those harnesses without the rest of the kit and just wire that in like I did? (only use the proper door cards and switches and make the plugs/pins all work

Hi lads sorry to bring up this old post, but trying to sort out the power windoes in my 1996 Mirage. It appears there is no existing wiring under the dash.

I had a look under the drivers side, and went to install the relay for later, but there is no connectors in that slot (the middle slot).

Thoughts? I still have the car that the power windows came from, so want to pull everything out that i need before it goes.

Is there an easy way I can wire up the door power window door looms to my own power source and relay in the engine bay?

Is that all the under dash loom is used for? If so, i can then just wire up my own power source and relay.

Thoughts?

Is there any difference in the "shape" of the door trims in the armrest area? The only trims I could find at the wreckers were black with a reddish cloth inlay, my manual winder trims are dark grey. Can I cut the manual armrest to take the power window switch panels or do I be patient and keep an eye out for the dark grey trims in a power window model?

btw if anyone else is keen on doing the conversion on a CE coupe, there's a couple of wrecks with the doors still intact at upullit Elizabeth SA.

Its all the same - Mirage and coupe are the same, but only sedan will fit the sedan.

does anyone know does the drivers side door switches have to be installed for the passenger side power windows to work? Thanks in advance.

Yep, the whole system uses the drivers controller as the base unit for both drivers and passengers side
