1. you will need to either trim or file the hole where your cable is going into it. i did this with a very fine file.

once you have done that it should have a tight fit.

2. now either file or cut the excess bulky bits of the side what will be hidden underneath.

3. line up where you want to put the holder and mark it out. then get an 8.5 drill bit and drill along the line. its a little bit thinner then the holder so i used a file for that extra mm gap.

4. make sure it fits with a really tight fit. then use the nessesery glue, i used silicon glue since it was the only thing around lol.

why the switchy deally for the subwoofers ? dont most headunits have a mute button :p just curious . nice job with showing how to just not sure cause i like my long leady thing so i can pass it to the backseat and passenger so i dont gotta worry bout music and gears and better then people leaning to touch the stereo nd getting in the way of changing gears haha i swear my next friend is walking home who does it lol drives me bonkers haha THE END haha 1st bit had more to do with the discussion lol

lol no i have an early 2000's JVC head unit and i cant turn the subs of quick if there's a cop or my mom just wants normal music
and the ipod cable i have is different to yours. mine comes up with a jvc screen saying what song is up and i control it with the head unit lol
