CE Cluster into CC Electronic Speedo Wiring

For anyone wanting to fit the CE dash/instrument cluster into their CC. Beside other associated wiring to get the CE cluster to operate on the CC wirring loom, you'll also have to ditch the cable speedo and wire the vehicle for the CE elec speedo. Very easy job.

You will need.
1. Black 10 amp wire.
2. 10 amp yellow wire.
3. 10 amp black/white wire.
4. 1x inline fuse holder and a 10 amp fuse. Colours are not set in stone as long as they are easily identifiable.
5. Vehicle speed sensor and plug with enough tail to solder on new wires. (from CE gearbox).
6. Approx 1m 7mm ID split conduite.
7. Soldering iron and solder.
8. 6mm earth ring.
9. Leccy tape.
10. rubber grommet same OD as the grommet on the speedo cable. (or you can try and fight the grommet off the cable  .
11. Heat shrink.

First, Remove speedo cable from the cable drive on the gearbox the remove it from the firewall.
2, remove the cable drive from the gearbox and compare it to the vehicle speed sensor I used a sensor from a 1.5 CE and it was a perfect match and dropped straight in.
3, the wires on the sensor are black-earth, black/white-power, yellow-signal. solder your new lengths of wire onto the plug, heat shrink them and fit the conduite.
4, now you can pass it through the fire wall where the cable was or route it back with the main loom and pass it through there, I put it through where the speedo cable was as it was easy, used less material and it's still nice and neat. have enough in the engine bay to plug into the sensor but dont plug it in yet.
5, route the wiring up under the dash to the cluster, find a suitable ignition power that you can tap into (preferably from the ignition switch) tap the black/white(power) wire to it useing the inline fuse holder and tape/heat shrink joints.
6, attach the black(earth) wire to a suitable earth point using the ring.
7, And attach the yellow (signal) wire to the Yellow signal wire from the cluster plug or add a ring on the end of it and attach it to the speedo signal/pulse screw on the back of the cluster.
8, add a 10 amp fuse to the holder and plug in the sensor. Done!!

Here's a basic diagram for the sensor wirring. Don't judge me I haven't used MS paint since I was 12
