cc lancer dash lights

hey there my names ty new here i have a 96 cc lancer coupe and i was hoping u guys can help me out i recently installed a head unit in my car and the dash lights stopped working and i dont know witch fuse under the dash for it is as the car had no fuse box cover on it when i got it and yess i have checked the dimmer switch lol at the moment im using glow sticks as a source of light
 
just pull a a fuse out, if its not blown put it back in and pull another one. repeat till you find it.

If its blown its probs coz youve wired it up with a crossed wire or similar.
 
When u installed the headunit, what did you cut or did u use the old stereo plug??

This may help, plugs may not be the same but the colours should be

Not sure how you went with this but when I did the same thing to my car the fuse was in the engine bay,
 
hey guys just got the computer back up and running and been flat out with work i still havnt been able to fix the problem i rewired the head unit with the standed plugs and still no luck im starting to think its a fuse hopefully someone can help me out by telling me what fuses are what under the dash and under the bonnet it a pain in the ass when one panel is missing and the other has worn so much that its just a black cover
 
also i did pull some of the fuses out one by one under the dash and they seem fine i only pulled out the low amp fuses as i dont the the dash lights would be running massive amount of current

also i noticed that the standed radio plugs dont have a ground and its suppose to be grounded via screwing it in maybe that has something to do with it
 
it'll be a 10 or 15 amp fuse get a test light and check the fuses with that much quicker than pulling them out.

out of curiosity do your headlights work? the interior lights draw from the circuit and run their own fuse su if the headlights have a blown fuse none of the lights work that fuse is in the engine bay.

also have you checked the dimmer isn't set to really low
